17th Cavalry, (162nd Regiment), Second State Standard. Composed of men from fourteen Pennsylvania counties, the 17th cavalry was organized in the fall of 1862. The regiment was mustered out of service on June 16, 1865. The second state standard was completed in late April 1865, however, there seems to be no documentation to indicate if the flag was forwarded to the 17th cavalry prior to muster out.
